Writing and research with Ask Genie

Research anything current on the web, then turn it into neighborhood guides, area descriptions, social posts and newsletters linked to your own pages.

Research anything current

Ask Genie can look things up on the web while you talk to it — schools and school districts, restaurants, parks and attractions, commute times, local businesses, recent news, events and anything else that changes. When it uses the web, the sources are listed under its answer so you can check them. Where results disagree or are thin, it says so.

  • What are the elementary schools near Cedar Hollow, and which district are they in?
  • What is happening in Willow Bend this weekend that buyers would enjoy?
  • Has anything changed recently with short-term rental rules in North Shore?

What it writes

Ask for listing-area descriptions, neighborhood and "living in" guides, market updates, newsletters, social posts and client explainers. Say who it is for and how long it should be; Ask Genie writes with buyers and sellers in mind and gives you something ready to edit.

Facts about real places are checked

When a piece makes claims about a real place — schools, parks, events, what is nearby — Ask Genie looks them up on the web rather than relying on memory. Your own market numbers come from your MLS feed, as on Live market numbers.

Links to your own pages

When it adds a link to your website, it only uses pages your site has actually published — community guides, articles, information pages — so a link never points at a page that does not exist. If you have no page on a subject, it leaves the link out. Listing pages are not used for these links.

Questions to try

  • Write a 300-word "living in Pine Hollow" guide for first-time buyers, with links to my community pages.
  • Draft three Instagram captions for a lakefront open house this Saturday.
  • Turn this month's Cedar Hollow numbers into a short newsletter intro.

Read everything before it goes out. You know your market and your clients; Ask Genie is a fast first draft.
