One market.
One subscriber.
You.
Every MLS Genie™ subscription includes Exclusive Territory protection — but what you can lock depends on your plan. Agent plans lock one ZIP code. Team and Broker plans lock a full region. All defined collaboratively at signup and written into your contract.
Your territory. Sized to your plan.
Exclusive Territory is included on every plan — the scope just grows with your subscription level. All territories are defined collaboratively with your account manager at signup and written into your agreement.
1 Exclusive ZIP code
Lock one ZIP code. No other Agent subscriber can operate in that ZIP on MLS Genie™. Team and Broker plans are unaffected — they're a different competitive tier.
1 Exclusive region
Lock a full region — roughly city-boundary scope (e.g. "Lake Arrowhead" covers Cedar Glen, Twin Peaks, Arrowbear, and surrounding communities). No other Team or Broker can subscribe in that region. Agent plans within the region are unaffected.
1 Exclusive region (broader scope)
Same region-level protection as Team, with a broader default scope befitting a brokerage footprint. Sub-territory assignment to agents within your brokerage is supported. No other Team or Broker can subscribe in your region.
At signup, your account manager works with you to define your territory precisely — by ZIP code, city name, or MLS area designation. If your market spans a city boundary or includes a few unincorporated communities, we account for that. The definition goes into your contract exactly as agreed.

Most SaaS tools sell to everyone. The agent down the street runs the same CRM, the same website template, the same tools. With MLS Genie™ Exclusive Territory, your setup is contractually unique to your market.
Individual Agent subscribers within that same region are still permitted — they operate at a different tier and aren't direct competition to a team. The Team subscriber's advantage is the full platform, the team tooling, and the regional lock.
A small number of early subscribers hold grandfathered exclusive arrangements that predate this tiered model. Those agreements are honored contractually. All new subscribers receive the tiered model described on this page.
“Knowing no other agent in my market has the same platform changes everything. My clients see the difference immediately — the tools, the data, the experience. Nobody else around here has this.”
Everything you need to know
What does my plan include?
Agent plans ($695/mo) include one exclusive ZIP code — no other Agent subscriber can operate in that ZIP on MLS Genie™. Team ($1,995/mo) and Broker (custom pricing) plans include one exclusive region, roughly city-boundary scope (e.g. "Lake Arrowhead" covering surrounding communities). Additional ZIPs or regions can be added as paid add-ons.
What counts as a "region"?
A region is roughly city-boundary scope — think a named community and its immediate surrounding areas. We don't use a rigid list. At signup, your account manager works with you to define your region precisely, accounting for how your market actually operates. The definition goes into your contract exactly as agreed.
Does my territory block all other subscribers?
It blocks subscribers at the same tier or above. An Agent's ZIP lock blocks other Agents in that ZIP — but a Team or Broker could still subscribe there, since they operate at a different competitive level. A Team's region lock blocks other Teams and Brokers in that region — but Agent plans within the region are unaffected.
Can I add more ZIPs or regions?
Yes. Additional ZIPs (for Agent plans) and additional regions (for Team and Broker plans) are available as paid add-ons. If adjacent areas are still available, your account manager can add them to your contract.
What happens if I cancel?
Three things happen immediately upon cancellation: (1) the MLS Genie™ plugin stops working — your CRM, MLS import, and all platform features become unavailable; (2) your Exclusive Territory protection lapses and your territory becomes available to a new subscriber; (3) your WordPress site and all your data — contacts, listings, content — remain entirely yours. We will give you at least 7 days notice before your territory is offered to anyone else, so you have the option to reinstate your subscription and reclaim it.
What if someone in my territory already inquired?
Territories are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're a current subscriber and a competitor requests your territory at the same tier, we notify you immediately. If you're not yet subscribed, the best move is to act now.
Is this a legal contract?
Yes. The Exclusive Territory clause is part of your Master Subscription Agreement with MLS Genie™. It's specific to your defined area and tier, and it's enforceable.
