Before you start
Your MLS board connection is configured during onboarding by the MLS Genie™ team (included if you choose optional done-for-you setup). You do not need to set this up yourself. This article explains how the connection works and where to find your connection status.
How MLS Genie™ connects to your board
MLS Genie™ connects to your board through a standardized data feed that supports over 600 MLS boards across the United States. MLS Genie™ holds the data licence and authenticates the connection on our servers. Your site is issued a short-lived access pass that expires within the hour — your board credentials are never sent to your website and are never stored in your database.
Checking your connection status
Go to Settings → GenieScout in the CRM. The connection status panel shows whether your board is connected, the last successful import time, and the number of active listings in your database.
If the connection shows an error
There is nothing to enter or correct on your side — connection details are not held on your site. If you see a connection error, contact your account manager and we will resolve it centrally.
