Making Genie Chat open by itself: auto-open, nudge, exit intent and office hours

The Engagement & Behavior settings: when the chat opens on its own, the teaser bubble, starter questions and the away message.

These are on MLS Genie › Genie Chat › AI Chat, under Engagement & Behavior. Each one happens at most once per visitor session, and the visitor can always close the chat.

Auto-open

Opens the chat by itself after the number of seconds you set (0 to 120). Auto-open greeting is the message shown when it opens this way; leave it blank to use the welcome message.

Suggested prompts

Up to three starter questions shown as buttons under the greeting, such as "What's my home worth?". Tapping one sends it.

Proactive nudge

A small teaser bubble beside the chat button, shown after the number of seconds you set, with your own text. Pulse the chat icon makes the button pulse while the teaser shows. It works separately from auto-open.

Exit intent

Opens the chat when a visitor moves their mouse to leave the page.

Office hours

Set opening and closing times in your site's time zone. Outside those hours the chat greets visitors with your away message and opens the contact form.
