Does Team Chat have channels, groups, and direct messages?
Yes. Every team gets an auto-created #team-feed channel that includes all members. You can also create private groups and add members by name, and send 1:1 direct messages to any teammate.
How do @mentions work?
Type @ and a teammate name to mention them. Mentioned users receive an email notification so the right person sees the message even if they are not currently in the app.
Can I attach files and images?
Yes. You can drag and drop images and documents directly into a conversation, up to a 10 MB limit per attachment.
Are there read receipts?
Yes. Team Chat shows read receipts so you can see when your messages have been read. You can also mute a conversation to control your own notifications, and delete an individual message.
Can I archive and keep a record of conversations?
Yes. Conversations can be archived and unarchived; an archived conversation becomes read-only, and you can export it as an HTML transcript to keep a permanent record.
