How does MLS Genie™ compare to other real estate CRMs?
Most real estate CRMs are a CRM and nothing else — your website, your MLS feed, your prospecting tool and your review management are separate subscriptions from separate vendors, and they do not talk to each other. A typical agent stack runs $400 or more a month across four or five logins. MLS Genie™ is one platform: the IDX website, the MLS import, the CRM, lead capture, seller prospecting and reputation management are the same system, so a lead from your own listing page lands in your own pipeline without an integration in between. The other difference is ownership. Cloud CRMs host your site on their platform; cancel and you get a CSV of your contacts. With MLS Genie™ the WordPress site, the content, the search rankings and every record stay yours — you rent the engine, not the car.
Do I need to know WordPress to use MLS Genie™?
No. Your agents work in GenieCRM™ — a dedicated real estate interface, not the WordPress admin. They log in, see their leads, pipeline, tasks and listings, and never touch a WordPress screen; CRM users are kept out of the WordPress admin entirely. Hosting, updates and maintenance are handled for you. WordPress is what makes the site yours: cancel a cloud platform and you get a CSV export, cancel MLS Genie™ and you keep the site, the content, the search rankings and every record.
Do I have to pay a setup fee?
No — there is no required setup fee to use MLS Genie™. If you already have a WordPress site, you install the plugin and go; optional white-glove onboarding is a one-time $495 (MLS licensing assistance, Google connection and integrations, guided setup — capable staff can also self-onboard with our guide). A done-for-you site build applies only if you need a brand-new site built, custom-quoted. None of these one-time services are mandatory to run the platform.
Who pays MLS data-access fees?
Every plan includes one MLS connection — we build and maintain your feed. MLS and association data-access fees, where charged, are always billed by the board and passed through at cost; many boards charge nothing. CRMLS members: your feed fee is covered by us — $0 pass-through.
Are there any per-seat fees?
Every plan is a flat monthly fee. The Team tier includes up to 15 agents flat; each additional agent is $99/mo — less than most CRMs charge for a seat alone, and here a seat includes everything.
What is included in the optional setup?
When you choose done-for-you setup: full WordPress installation on included managed hosting, MLS board connection and import configuration, CRM setup with your existing contacts imported, theme configuration, agent role setup, and a full team walkthrough. If you already have a WordPress site, none of this is required to get started.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There is no long-term contract. You can cancel at any time. On cancellation: the MLS Genie™ plugin stops working, your Exclusive Territory is released, and the page builder licenses (Beaver Builder and Elementor) bundled in your subscription become inactive — you would need your own licenses to continue using them, around $100/year each. Your WordPress site, all content, and all data remain entirely yours.
Is the pricing different for different markets?
Starter is an IDX website rather than a platform — it has no CRM — and Agent is the tier that adds one. Starter, Agent, Agent Pro, and Team tier pricing is fixed regardless of market. Brokerage builds are white-label and custom-quoted to scope. ZIP-code exclusivity is a service-contract exclusive for MLS Genie™ Managed SEO & marketing clients, priced per ZIP code by market density from $495 to $995 per ZIP per month.
What do the add-ons cost?
On the Agent tier: Genie Chat is $69/mo, Property Intelligence™ is $99/mo, Reputation Manager is $69/mo, Social Manager is $49/mo, and GenieLayers™ is $149/mo plus $49–$99 per boundary pack. All five are included in Agent Pro and Team. GenieProspect™ is $199/mo and is never included in a tier — it is added to Agent, Agent Pro or Team. It is the one add-on never bundled, because it buys live property data every month rather than unlocking software. Additional office locations are $199/mo each and give that office the full platform. Additional MLS board connections (AORs) are $49/mo each; additional per-agent social accounts are $29/mo each. ZIP-code exclusivity is available with MLS Genie™ Managed SEO & marketing service contracts, from $495 to $995 per ZIP per month by market density.
