Bad coordinates
never reach your site.

Every MLS feed has listings with bad or missing coordinates. GeoGenie™ checks each imported listing against your market’s geographic center, quarantines the outliers from public search, and automatically restores them the moment the MLS corrects the data — so your map and search stay clean without manual cleanup.

What's included

GeoGenie™ — what it does

Centroid Validation

Each import is checked against its geographic center, and each job against its configured area — so a listing in the wrong place stands out immediately.

Validate

Quarantine, Don’t Delete

Outliers are quarantined and excluded from every public property query, while admin and REST access stay untouched.

Protect

Self-Healing

When the MLS corrects a listing’s coordinates, GeoGenie automatically un-quarantines it on the next import. No manual cleanup.

Auto

Visible in GenieScout

Quarantined listings remain visible to you in GenieScout with a clear warning, so nothing is ever silently lost.

Review

Cached & Fast

Area centroids are geocoded once and cached for 30 days, so validation adds accuracy without slowing your nightly import.

Speed

Clean Map & Search

The result: your public map and search only ever show listings that actually belong in your market.

FAQ

GeoGenie™ questions answered

What problem does GeoGenie solve?

MLS feeds occasionally contain listings with wrong or missing coordinates, which can drop a pin in the wrong city or break map search. GeoGenie catches those listings before they reach your public site.

How does it decide a listing is an outlier?

It uses two checks: a batch check against the geographic center of the import, and a single-listing check against your job's configured area, geocoded and cached. Listings that fall outside the distance threshold are flagged.

Does it ever delete listings?

No. Outliers are quarantined, not deleted. They are simply hidden from public search and clearly marked in GenieScout so you can review them.

What happens when the MLS fixes the coordinates?

GeoGenie self-heals. On the next import, if the corrected listing now passes validation, it is automatically un-quarantined and returns to public search.

We replaced BoomTown and three other tools the week we went live. The MLS sync alone saved us four hours a day. Our agents were in the CRM on day one — there was nothing to learn.
