What problem does GeoGenie solve?
MLS feeds occasionally contain listings with wrong or missing coordinates, which can drop a pin in the wrong city or break map search. GeoGenie catches those listings before they reach your public site.
How does it decide a listing is an outlier?
It checks each listing's map pin against where the listing says it is and against the rest of your market. A listing that doesn't add up is flagged and quarantined.
Does it ever delete listings?
No. Outliers are quarantined, not deleted. They are simply hidden from public search and clearly marked in GenieScout so you can review them.
What happens when the MLS fixes the coordinates?
GeoGenie self-heals. On the next import, if the corrected listing now passes validation, it is automatically un-quarantined and returns to public search.
