Built for everyone.
No exceptions.
MLS Genie™ is committed to making every page accessible to all users, including those who rely on assistive technologies. We target WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all public-facing surfaces.
What we do to keep MLS Genie™ accessible
Accessibility is built into our development process from the start — not added at the end. Every template shipped with MLS Genie™ is written with these standards in mind.
Keyboard accessible
Every interactive element — navigation, buttons, forms, modals — is reachable and operable using a keyboard alone. Focus order follows a logical document flow.
Screen reader compatible
Semantic HTML, ARIA landmark roles, and descriptive labels are used throughout. Images include meaningful alt text. Decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
Sufficient colour contrast
Text and interactive elements meet a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their background. Colour is never used as the sole means of conveying information.
Scalable without loss of function
All pages remain fully usable when text is scaled to 200% in the browser. Layouts reflow cleanly at all viewport widths down to 320px.
Descriptive link text
Links are written to make sense out of context. We avoid vague labels like "click here" or "read more" — every link clearly describes its destination or action.
Skip navigation
A skip-to-main-content link appears at the top of every page — invisible to sighted users until focused, but immediately available to keyboard and screen reader users.
Motion and animation
Animations respect the user's prefers-reduced-motion system setting. No content flashes more than three times per second.
Responsive and touch-friendly
All interactive targets meet a minimum 44×44px touch target size. The platform works on mobile, tablet, and desktop across all modern browsers.
Semantic markup
Pages use correct heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3), landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and form labels associated with their inputs.
What this covers
This statement covers mlsgenie.com — the MLS Genie™ marketing website — and the public-facing pages of MLS Genie™ installations on subscriber websites.
GenieCRM™ and other password-protected admin areas are used exclusively by trained subscribers and their agents. We work to meet the same standards there, but the primary compliance commitment covers public-facing content.
This statement was prepared in April 2026 and is reviewed on a rolling basis as new features ship.
Where we're still improving
