What is the Smart Media Filter™?
MLS boards sometimes include non-image files — PDFs, floor plan documents, disclosure packages — alongside property photos. Without filtering, these files would be imported as listing images, causing broken featured images on your site.
The Smart Media Filter™ automatically detects and excludes non-image files during every import, so only legitimate property photographs are ever shown on your site.
How it works
During photo import, each media item is checked against two criteria: the file MIME type must be an image type, and the URL must not match document path patterns. Files that fail either check are silently skipped — they never enter your media library.
Does this affect any listings?
No listing data is affected. Only the media files are filtered. If a listing has zero eligible photos after filtering, it imports without a featured image rather than with a broken one.
