How the nightly import works

GenieScout™ runs a full MLS import every night. Here is what happens and when.

Import schedule

GenieScout™ runs a full import once every 24 hours, typically between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM in your local timezone. The exact time depends on your server timezone setting in WordPress.

What the import does

Each import cycle processes: new listings (added as WordPress posts), price changes (updated on existing posts), status changes (e.g. Active → Pending, published to unpublished), withdrawn listings (removed from public view), and photo updates.

Manual re-import

If you need listings to update outside the nightly schedule, go to Settings → GenieScout and click Run Import Now. The import runs in the background and may take several minutes depending on the size of your board.

Import log

Each import generates a log entry showing how many listings were added, updated, and removed. View the log in GenieScout → Import Log. Errors are highlighted in red with a description of what failed.

We replaced BoomTown and three other tools the week we went live. The MLS sync alone saved us four hours a day. Our agents were in the CRM on day one — there was nothing to learn.
