The roles
GenieCRM™ uses roles to control what each team member can see and do. They are ranked, so nobody can hand out a role above their own:
- Marketing — Social and marketing tools. No leads, no commission.
- Agent — CRM, own leads and tasks only. Cannot see other agents' leads.
- Transaction Coordinator — Every agent's deals, tasks and leads, because a coordinator works the whole team's files. No marketing, no settings, no MLS configuration, and cannot reassign a lead to a different agent.
- Manager — CRM and all team leads. Cannot access admin settings.
- Team Admin — Full CRM plus MLS Genie admin pages. No WordPress admin access.
- Team Lead — Full CRM, all admin pages, and full WordPress admin access.
- Site Administrator — A technical role that stacks on top of any of the above, granting full site access without changing someone's rank on the team.
Transaction Coordinators
A coordinator takes deals from accepted offer to close, across every agent in the team. The role is built for that: full access to Tasks and Pipeline for all agents, the lead records they need to reach the parties, and Team Chat. It deliberately stops short of anything that sends on an agent's behalf or changes how the platform is configured. Commission is included by default, since coordinators commonly prepare the disbursement paperwork — a team that keeps splits private to the agent can switch that off in Settings.
WordPress administrators
Any user with the WordPress Administrator role automatically receives full MLS Genie access — equivalent to Team Lead. No manual role assignment is needed for site administrators.
Assigning roles
Go to Settings → Team and click the edit icon next to any team member. Select the appropriate role from the dropdown and save. Role changes take effect immediately on the user's next page load.
