Role-based access control

Understand the four GenieCRM™ roles and what each one can access.

The four roles

GenieCRM™ uses four roles to control what each team member can see and do:

  • Agent — Access to CRM, own leads and tasks only. Cannot see other agents' leads.
  • Manager — Access to CRM and all team leads. Cannot access admin settings.
  • Team Admin — Full CRM access plus MLS Genie admin pages. No WordPress admin access.
  • Team Lead — Full CRM, all admin pages, and full WordPress admin access.

WordPress administrators

Any user with the WordPress Administrator role automatically receives full MLS Genie access — equivalent to Team Lead. No manual role assignment is needed for site administrators.

Assigning roles

Go to Settings → Team and click the edit icon next to any team member. Select the appropriate role from the dropdown and save. Role changes take effect immediately on the user's next page load.
