Reassigning a lead to another agent

Two ways to reassign a lead — the inline dropdown on the lead profile, or the Edit Lead drawer. Both write to the same record and trigger the same notification.

Inline reassignment from the lead profile

The fastest way. Open the lead, click the assigned-agent pill in the hero row next to the lead's name, choose a new team member from the dropdown, done.

The pill updates immediately and a confirmation toast appears in the corner. A note is auto-logged to Notes & Activity: "Assigned agent changed: [previous agent] → [new agent]", with your name as the actor and the current timestamp.

The Unassign option

At the bottom of the dropdown is an "Unassign" option in red. Choosing it removes the assignment without picking a replacement — useful for leads that need to go back into a shared pool for round-robin distribution.

Reassignment from the Edit Lead drawer

Click the Edit button in the hero row to open the full edit drawer. The Assigned Agent dropdown lives in the middle of the form alongside the lead's other fields. Save the drawer to apply the change. This path also auto-logs to Notes & Activity.

Who can reassign leads

The pill becomes an interactive dropdown only for users with the assignment capability — Team Admins, Team Leads, and WordPress administrators by default. Agents see the pill as a static label showing the current owner.

Notifications

The newly-assigned agent receives an email notification with a direct link to the lead profile. This is configured per-team in Settings → CRM.

We replaced BoomTown and three other tools the week we went live. The MLS sync alone saved us four hours a day. Our agents were in the CRM on day one — there was nothing to learn.
