When this matters
If your site pulls from more than one MLS, a property near a boundary can arrive twice — once from each. The two copies rarely agree exactly: photo counts differ, remarks differ, and one may update sooner than the other.
What it does
Source Precedence lets you name which MLS wins. The chosen feed supplies the listing, and the duplicate is set aside rather than published alongside it.
It is off by default
Most sites pull from a single MLS and do not need it. Turn it on only when you are genuinely importing overlapping feeds, and choose the source deliberately — it decides which version of a property the public sees.
Before you turn it on
Check your MLS agreements first. Which feed you may display, and how, is set by the agreements you hold with each MLS rather than by the software.
