Accessing GenieLayers™ settings
Go to MLS Genie™ → Settings → GenieLayers™ in the WordPress admin. This panel controls which overlay layers are active on your public site and how the GenieLayers™ panel behaves.
Layer visibility
Toggle each layer type on or off individually. Neighbourhood boundaries are enabled by default. All other layers (parcel, flood, air quality, environmental) are off by default and can be enabled as needed for your market.
Boundary auto-load
When enabled, neighbourhood boundaries load automatically as visitors browse the map — no interaction required. When disabled, boundaries only load when a visitor explicitly toggles the layer on in the GenieLayers™ panel.
The public panel
The GenieLayers™ panel appears as a collapsible overlay on your listing search map. It shows toggle controls for each enabled layer. When a layer is active, a color-coded legend appears at the bottom of the map. The panel is injected automatically — no shortcode or theme modification is needed.
