What is Commission Manager?
Commission Manager calculates agent commission payouts using a configurable waterfall engine. For each closed transaction, you define an ordered list of deduction steps — each one takes a percentage or flat dollar amount from what remains after the previous step — and the engine calculates exactly what each party receives.
How the waterfall works
The waterfall runs top to bottom. Each step operates on the remainder left after all previous deductions — not on the original gross commission. This means a 30% broker split at step 2 takes 30% of what remains after step 1, not 30% of gross. Steps never produce a negative result — flat dollar amounts are automatically capped at the available remainder.
Step types
- Percentage — Takes a percentage of the current remainder. Capped at 100%.
- Flat dollar — Takes a fixed dollar amount. Capped at the current remainder.
Templates
You can save a waterfall configuration as a named template and apply it to any transaction with one click. Templates store the full ordered step list and are available to all managers and above.
