Where it helps
Below the Team tier, adding an agent costs nothing — not a seasonal hire, not an assistant who only needs to look something up, not a teammate who logs in twice a month. All of those carry a full seat fee on a per-seat platform, which is why those platforms quietly encourage sharing logins. On Team, the first fifteen agents are included and the sixteenth onward is $95/mo, which is still well under what most platforms charge for a seat that does less.
Where it does not
A single agent working alone will usually pay less on a per-seat tool, and so will a small team. The point where this becomes the cheaper arrangement is around eight or nine agents, and it holds until the roster passes fifteen, after which the per-agent charge applies. Below that crossover the argument for MLS Genie™ is ownership of the site and its search rankings rather than the monthly figure.
What is metered
Paid property-data lookups — prospecting scans, owner contact lookups, permit history — are included in the plan rather than billed for individually. Each draws on a monthly allowance that comes with the tier. An unusually heavy month is paced across the days remaining rather than charged for, and nothing bills past the allowance: there is no overage line on the invoice. Pacing affects prospecting scans alone — the website, the CRM and everything a visitor sees are untouched, and saved prospects stay exactly where they are.
